I found this book review of Keith Bradsher's High and Mighty: SUVs. It makes perfect soapbox fodder for the SUV critic in all of you.
On a somewhat related note:
Last night, as i was driving through downtown I witnessed a near accident, an older minivan came screaming through a red light and came a split second from t-boning the Jeep Liberty in front of me. The SUV's drivers life flashed before my eyes and I was shaken for a spell. Although this wasnt a exploitable event for me to rant about why SUVs are evil from atop of my soapbox, I hope the Liberty's owner questioned if their Jeep Liberty would've improved their chances surviving that accident.
I had such high hopes for this years super bowl. Both teams seemed evenly matched. Alas, the game wasnt as good as expected, not to say that it was a bad game, but I thought the commercials were better. I thought the bud light refrigerator, the Gatorade Michael Jordan, and the Yao Ming Visa ads were good. The Terry Tate Reebok ad was great (use the email: asdf1234@asdf.com and password asdf1234, to watch the videos or make up your own info).
unfortunately the best commercial did not air during the super bowl. The Nike Streaker ad ( you can also download it here) was shown during the AFC/NFC Championchip series.
You can find the rest of this years ads at iFilm as well as last years ads.
